Luis Herrera is currently the Safety and Training Coordinator for the COVID-Preg project at ISGlobal, under the Supervision of Dr Clara Menendez.
He is a specialist in Family Medicine from the University of Quintana Roo. He obtained a medical degree in the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes, with Student Exchange in Pediatrics in the University of San Luis Potosi. He previously obtained a degree in International Business at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, with courses on Public Relations and International Business from the University of Southern Europe in Monaco.
He has worked as International Purchase Manager in Texas, USA, and Branch Manager for an importing company in Monterrey, Mexico. In 2020, he collaborated in the Centro de Investigação em Saúde de Manhiça (CISM) in Mozambique in tuberculosis projects.
His main interest as a family physician is working in rural areas in Mexico, in first contact clinics with high burden diseases including endemic zones for tuberculosis, dengue and chikungunya, where he has worked for over 7 years, in the Emergency Room as well as the Consulting Room.
