Introducing a New Chapter in ISGlobal

Sir Andrew Haines, chairman of 'The Lancet' Commission on Planetary Health, will participate on the presentation of the new phase of our institution

Upon the merger with CREAL (Centre for Research in Environmental Epidemiology), ISGlobal becomes one of the pioneering centres that brings together research on transmissible diseases with research on chronic diseases and their environmental determinants.

To introduce this new phase of our Institute, Sir Andrew Haines, chairman of The Lancet Commission on Planetary Health and professor and former director of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), will participate as featured lecturer with a talk about a new trend of thought that links people health with environment.

The conference, organised together with "la Caixa" Banking Foundation, will be held in Palau Macaya, Barcelona, on 14 February, at 5 PM. Seating will be allocated on a strict order of arrival basis. In case the auditorium's seating capacity is exceeded, annex spaces will be available to follow the event through a closed-circuit television.
