What We Are Looking for

ISGlobal is seeking a PhD student who is interested in taking over and managing activities of the project Echilibrist for the working package related to Health Impact Assessment and Evaluation.

 

 

Training and experience /Qualifications

  • Degree in Economics, Public Health or equivalent
  • Master in Health Economics or Equivalent
  • Experience on the analysis of quantitative data, statistical and econometric models, Health Technology Assessment, Health Impact Assessment and/or Evaluation
  • Experience with R or Stata programming

Key Responsibilities

The PhD student will work together with others members of the HIA group to conduct data collection for the Echilibrist Project from the partners countries.
 Perform statistical analyses and work on engagement with stakeholders and consortium members.
Develop statistical and mathematical models for the health impact assessment and evaluation.
Interpretation of data and writing of the manuscripts/projects in collaboration with other members of the team and external collaborators.
Responsibilities of the candidate may include to do short travels in the countries under study (Mozambique, Gabon and Ethiopia) to collect data, understanding local healthcare system and epidemiological situation, disseminate the study results.

Language level:

  • Knowledge of Portuguese/Spanish would be an asset.
 
 

Conditions

  • Duration:3 years with annual renewal, fulltime (40h/week)
  • Starting date: May 1, 2023
  • Contract: Full time
  • Salary Range: According to Internal Salary Scales.

Selection Process

The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.

If needed any technical test could be pass. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.

In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will start the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. A profile questionnaire as well as a technical exercise may be required during the process.
