What We Are Looking for

We are recruiting a technician to join our dynamic team in the Urban Environment and Air Pollution research programme and to contribute to the cluster of new Exposome studies at ISGlobal. The individual will be based in the research group of Cathryn Tonne, Associate Research Professor and involved in the international H2020 Expanse project focused on the Urban Exposome and cardio-respiratory health. This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (GA number 874627). The position will involve implementing field work in the Barcelona Metropolitan Area including air pollution data collection. 

Training and experience /Qualifications

  • Masters degree in public health, environmental health or related discipline

Specific Requirements

  • Valid driving license

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement exposure and health data collection.

Specific Duties

  • Implementation of participant recruitment and field work in Barcelona 
  • Home-based health data collection from study participants 
  • Conduct mobile monitoring or air pollutants

Skills

  • Outstanding organizational skills 
  • Motivated, self-directed, and proactive individual capable of setting and meeting deadlines 
  • Excellent team-working skills
  • Experience handling air pollution monitoring equipment

Language level:

  • Catalan, Spanish and English written and spoken.
