Daniel Kwakye Nomah is a physician and holds a Master’s in Global Health from ISGlobal and the University of Barcelona. He is currently carrying out his Ph.D. research at the Center for Epidemiological Studies on STIs and HIV/AIDS in Catalonia (CEEISCAT) focusing on SARS-CoV-2 infection among people living with HIV/AIDS.
Daniel has a strong interest in migrant health research. For over two years, he has engaged sub-Saharan African migrant communities in Catalonia in various health promotion activities. He is currently the field coordinator for the HBV-COMSAVA study in Barcelona screening west African migrants for HBV and linking patients to care or vaccination. He is also a research technician for the WAM-COVID study seeking to understand the impact of the COVID-19 on West African migrant communities in Catalonia.
Daniel has experience in working in different countries and different global health institutions including the WHO.
