Kelly Safreed-Harmon is a researcher with the Health Systems Research Group at ISGlobal. She earned her master’s degree in population and international health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in 2004. Her PhD research focuses on how health systems can identify and respond more effectively to the needs of people with HIV in settings where many of these individuals are receiving effective HIV treatment but are not receiving suitable clinical care for other health issues such as mental health conditions and diseases of ageing. She also supports Health Systems Research Group leader Jeffrey V. Lazarus on a wide range of viral hepatitis-related projects. An additional thematic focus of her career has been human rights aspects of public health.
