Carmen De Keijzer is a predoctoral researcher at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal). Her educational background is in public health, epidemiology, and statistics with a bachelor in European Public Health obtained from Maastricht University (the Netherlands) and a master in Public Health from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Spain). She is specialised in environmental epidemiology and investigates the impact of the environment on health. Specifically, during her PhD, she focuses on long-term greenspace exposure and its association with health in older adults and healthy ageing.
