Equip ISGlobal

Alejandro completed a BSc in Biotechnology at Universitat de Barcelona before moving to the Netherlands to pursue an MSc in Bioinformatics at Wageningen University & Research, where he specialized on the application of Machine Learning techniques (with special emphasis in Deep Learning) in the analysis of omics data. After graduation, he worked as an R&D Data Scientist for DuPont Industrial Biosciences in Leiden, where he focused on the data-driven engineering of industrial enzymes.

He joined ISGlobal to work in his PhD within the HELICAL Innovative Training Network trying to uncover potential links between ANCA vasculitis onset and the physical, chemical and/or biological structure of air masses and/or their constituents using a combination of machine learning and statistical methods.
