The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level. Research is organized in five programs: Climate, Air Pollution, Nature and Urban Health; Environment and Health over the Lifecourse; Global Viral and Bacterial Infections; Malaria and Neglected Parasitic Diseases and Maternal Child and Reproductive Health. ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence of the Spanish Science Ministry.
Lugar
ISGlobal is seeking an experienced professional who is interested in working as a Project Manager in the area of Preparedness and Response. ISGlobal recently established a Preparedness, Response, Recovery and Resilience (PR3) Research Hub. The Hub coordinates and facilitates collaboration, synergies and funding, within and outside ISGlobal, for research, policy & global development, innovation, communication and education in areas covered by PR3; promotes a meaningful strategic research agenda; promotes translation of research results and activities to generate impact in policy and society; and provides internal and external capacity building to effectively provide strategic guidance for response to future health crises. The P3R3 project aims to generate and synthesize relevant scientific evidence, with a multidisciplinary approach, through applied research and innovation projects, and evaluation of policies and interventions; translate into policy formulation and management decisions, with a multi-level and cross-sectoral approach, focusing on the response and resilience of health and social care systems, at urban, local and regional levels; with complementary training, including capacity development for leadership of technical and managerial responsibilities and with a vision of One Health and Planetary Health frameworks.
The Project Manager will be in charge of coordinating the work of different research partners at ISGlobal contributing to PR3, and engaging with external partners in different projects. In addition, the candidate will contribute to expanding the work on health systems resilience and promoting the PR3 Hub activities with internal and external stakeholders.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Having a degree, masters, or PhD in Medicine, Biological Sciences, Public Health or Epidemiology
- Excellent management, project planning, and organizational skills
- Broad experience in scientific coordination of projects, specially projects related to the COVID-19 pandemic or other public health crises
- Having experience in working in an interdisciplinary team
- Be fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Be able to work in a multicultural environment
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
- Support the coordinator of the PR3 Hub, as well as the rest of members of the coordinating team.
- Collaborate with ISGlobal researchers and the Communication and Policy Global Development departments to find synergies and promote collaborative work
- Work closely with the Administration department, especially on matters of finances and project management.
- Project management duties: following objectives and activities, leading meetings, preparing reports, etc
- Preparation of supporting documents for different meetings and research conferences and development of a monthly/bi-monthly PR3 newsletter
- Contribute to the P3R3 to strengthening health system resilience working with different stakeholders nationally and internationally
- Other responsibilities as required
AUXILIAR TASKS
Attend national and international meetings as required by the activities.

SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed, any technical test could be passed. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process.
