ISGlobal is seeking a talented and highly motivated postdoctoral researcher in the domain of environmental impacts on human health and wellbeing, with a particular focus on natural environments and nature-based therapies. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and interdisciplinary research team within the framework of the EC funded RESONATE project RESONATE (“Building individual and community RESilience thrOugh NATurE-based therapies”).
The candidate will become an integrated partner of our group and will get the opportunity to collaborate with a vibrant European research community.
The overall project goal is to build a stronger causal evidence base of the links between nature, health and well-being and to demonstrate how multi-sectoral stakeholders can collaborate to implement locally applicable nature-based therapies. The chosen candidate will be at the forefront of nature and health research by working with primary data and developing an unprecedented interactive, online tool for identification of nature-based initiatives globally.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordination of tasks related to developing a global systematic map of evidence supported nature-based therapies.
- Organisation of a randomised controlled trial and synchronisation with aligned trials in collaborating centres.
- Communication of results.
Specific Duties
- Coordinate systematic and scoping reviews of nature-based therapies and collaborate on the development of an interactive, online tool for mapping of activities
- Lead empirical studies on nature-based therapies
- Supervise and mentor involved graduate students and field workers
- Publish research findings in both academic journals and policy and practice-oriented media
- Assist in management of tasks cutting across work packages, such as local establishment of social innovation actions
- Assist in project management
- Actively engage in project meetings online and in-person

Training and experience /Qualifications
- PhD degree in relevant field
- Researchers are expected to be experts in public health, environmental epidemiology, interdisciplinary science, or similar
Specific Requirements
- Experience of working independently in interdisciplinary and international research consortia
- Established track-record of publishing in peer-reviewed scientific journals.

The post-holder will adhere to ISGlobal principles contained in People management policy, including Equity, diversity and health safety. The post-holder will respect, and be accountable to ensure ISGlobal policies and procedures.

- Duration: 1 year with possibility for extension

Selection Process
The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be pass. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will start the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. A profile questionnaire as well as a technical exercise may be required during the process.
