What We Are Looking for

We are seeking applicants for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Research Professor position in Molecular Exposomics to expand expertise in the area of exposome and environmental health research with a specific focus on the integration of multi-omics data in birth cohorts through development and application of molecular exposomics approaches. The assistant RP should develop a research group in ISGlobal, collaborate across ISGlobal, publish scholarly work and obtain grant funding to support research. Additionally, the assistant RP should teach at the masters and doctorate level and participate in advancing the strategic goals of ISGlobal in policy transfer and innovation.

Specific Requirements

At least 5 years of accredited postdoctoral experience

Key Responsibilities

The assistant RP will be expected to establish a research group in molecular exposomics research, keep track of the rapid advances in the relevant omics fields (e.g. metabolomics, proteomics, microbiome), and apply these in early life exposome studies in a variety of settings to bring together the external (exposures) and internal (omics) parts of the exposome. The assistant RP will implement study designs for mechanistic and predictive biomarker development, and precision prevention of environmental health risks, from the earliest parts of the life-course onwards. The new assistant RP will be expected to develop collaborations with international exposome researchers and projects and with omics laboratories (both in-house and external), and to work closely with the ISGlobal bioinformatics and data science groups to analyse large omics data sets.
