Policy and Global Development – What we do

The Policy and Global Development department is the keystone of ISGlobal’s knowledge transfer strategy. Using scientific evidence and the analysis of health and development strategies, we formulate new models of action and promote changes in the global agenda. Our aim is to promote more effective, more equitable and more sustainable interventions that can have a real impact on people’s lives.

Policy

Our Policy Analysis team monitors the global health agenda within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), and generates proposals and recommendations to inform and influence political decision-makers. We conduct studies, produce analyses and organise seminars on topics such as infectious diseases, the new climate and environmental challenges as determinants of health, and the principle of equity as a parameter in priority setting.

Global Development

The aim of our Global Development section is to expand ISGlobal’s activities beyond the boundaries of science, bringing real benefits to the population by way of development projects and new models of action. With long-term strategic partnerships in Bolivia, Morocco and Mozambique, we are involved in alliances and collaborations that are using scientific evidence to effect real transformations in many parts of the world.
