Roberto Constantino Tapia Conyer

Medical Doctor by the National University of Mexico (UNAM). Master’s Degrees in Science and Public Health by Harvard University, and Doctorate in Science by UNAM. He joined México’s Ministry of Health in 1982, where he built an institutional career. In 1997 was appointed Vice-Minister of Prevention and Health Promotion, where he served until December 2006. In 2007 he was appointed Director-General of the Carlos Slim Health Institute, where he served until January 2013, when he became Director-General for the Carlos Slim Foundation. Dr. Tapia-Conyer is professor at the UNAM and University of California, besides active member of diverse academic organizations and scientific boards.
