On this open seminar, Hernando Portillo, ICREA Research Professor at ISGlobal, is focusing on the link between Plasmodium vivax and exosomes, a cell-derived vesicles that are present in many eukaryotic fluids, such as blood. It should be noted that Portillo's research group is pioneering the use of reticulocyte-derived exosomes as a new vaccine and platform against malaria, among other lines of research.
